European Union finance ministers early on Monday agreed to set up a permanent system to rescue eurozone states which run into financial trouble of the kind that has brought Greece to its knees, diplomats said.
Greece has reached an agreement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the European Union (EU) on a $159 billion rescue package for the debt-laden country.
